Education and Experience

Dennis L. Lee II was born and raised in the small town of Raeford, NC. He began his journey in social work at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke where he would receive his undergraduate and graduate degree. During his program, he became proficient in using an strengths-based, person-centered approaches that draws upon cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing.

Dennis’ therapeutic practices are rooted in the ethical guidelines provided by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW); and a personal belief that therapy is most successful when mutual respect and trust is present between the therapist and client. His focus on cultural competency has allowed him to work with families, teens, and adults from diverse sexual orientations, ethnicities, cultures, and religious backgrounds.
