Education and Experience
Catherine is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate and Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate. Prior to pursuing a career in psychotherapy, she gained experience working in a variety of human-service and professional settings, including elderly government housing, services for adults with developmental disabilities, and case management. Through these roles, she discovered her interest in clinical work and supporting individuals through complex life challenges. Catherine received her MSW from East Carolina University in 2023. She began her clinical career as an outpatient psychotherapist in a community crisis and substance use clinic, where she gained broad experience working with diverse client needs and presentations. She continues to work in outpatient mental health, drawing from her varied background to provide thoughtful, client-centered care.

Catherine works with clients across the lifespan and has spent much of her clinical work supporting children and teens. She enjoys helping younger clients navigate emotions and everyday challenges, and values collaborating with caregivers along the way. Catherine also loves working with adults, supporting them through life changes, stress, and personal growth.

She draws from cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and person-centered techniques, while also incorporating emotional regulation skills, mindfulness practices, and self-care strategies. Catherine focuses on understanding the whole person, connecting clients to helpful resources, and building on existing strengths as they work through emotional challenges. She believes therapy is a partnership and values creating a space where clients feel supported, empowered, and understood.

Catherine enjoys spending time in nature, often accompanied by her dog and cat. When she’s not outdoors, she loves exercising, spending time with friends, exploring a variety of art projects, and practicing new recipes in the kitchen.
